It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the time when Marisa and Madelyn got first class tickets in the sleeper train while the rest of the family was banished in 2nd class.
We decided to take the sleeper train from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. It was a new experience for all of us. It was a 13 hour train ride so we decided to sleep through it. Easier said than done. There weren't 6 first class tickets available so our family was split down the middle between classes. The rich in first class, the not so rich in second.
Join as and see the class division that occurs. Those in first class suddenly felt like the second classers weren't worthy of their presence. The second classers suffered through the smells of curry and chimpanzee while the first class quenched their thirst with orange juice. The chasm between the classes only got bigger throughout the trip.
If you are considering the sleeper train from Chiang Mai to Bangkok check out the difference between classes.
